Annual Football Night

With the Rotary Club of the Stoningtons, our Club celebrated the congenial football rivalry between Stonington High School and Westerly High School along with some very special guests - former Coaches John Stellitano and Sal Augeri.

                                                                                                                 They contributed some very interesting stories which then led to introduction of the current coaches  - WHS's Coach Wriedt and SHS's Coach Massengale.  They each spoke of the pleasure of working with the fine young men on their teams.   They commented that each one would go on to do great things, that it didn't matter how many great players but did matter how they go into the game.  Thursday's game would be the 153rd meeting of the two teams - with Stonington leading the rivalry 69 to 66 with 17 ties.
