District Governor Bill Vangel visits Club, 17 Oct 2011

 DG Bill and ADG Russell met with the Club's Board of Directors "to have a conversation" about the Club's goals.  This meeting was followed by a dinner with the membership.  DG Bill spoke on plans for coming year District-wide and Internationally.  He announced his "Governor's Challenge" to begin 29 January 2012 with a handout listing goals and achievements to be met applying the four-way test, of course.  Recognition in the Rotary 150 Club will be announced at the 20 April 2012 District Conference in Newport.  He said that 20 April 2012 is designated as "Service Above Self" Day and urged that each Club would plant a tree in honor of Rotary or do something special on that day for their community.
