Since November 2012, there have been 27 Honor Flights. Rhode Island Fire Chiefs Honor Flight Hub "is dedicated to honoring our veterans by offering a no-cost trip to visit the WWII, Korean, Vietnam War memorials in Washington DC. A few years ago, Dave Mann and Joe Nigrelli were honored recipients and more recently our Amanda's Dad, Tom Nall, and Bob Elmer were invited to participate. Both Vietnam veterans spoke very emotionally about what this trip meant to them, having returned home to most unwelcoming behavior by US citizens.
