Misquamicut Beach Association FallFest, 16 to 17 September 2011

       The Club participated in the MBA's Fallfest event last weekend to promote Rotary and PolioPlus.  The Ocean Club Resort provided us with a large TV screen and dvd player upon which we were able to show the Club's 50th Anniversary video .  We also set up one of our Wishing Wells to get donations to benefit PolioPlus.  As a result, we collected approximately $285 over the weekend and members who were not able to help at the event added another $76 dollars at the following Monday evening meeting.  Final tally amounted to $363 for PolioPlus.  it was surprising how many people commented that they thought polio had been totally eliminated.
