Summer Pops 23June2012

   The day could not have been a more perfect weather day!!  It was a beautiful day for Pops!!!  Most Westerly Rotarians were present at some point during the day.  Cal and Clark brought a few of their parishioners to help as well  -  our grateful thanks to all.  A special thank you to Chair Steve Salerno for all his preparation efforts, to the setup and cleanup crews and to all those who worked during the concert.  It was a very long day for some of us.  The concert, as expected, was outstanding, the fireworks were fantastic, attendees were festive.  Everyone showed their deep appreciation for Maestro Kent's 53 years of providing beautiful music and leading the Chorus  -  equal to Boston Pops or the NY Symphony!!!!!!  Final tally of receipts and expenses resulted in more than $5400 being donated to the Chorus  -  a record for concession sales.
