Welcoming Fred LaFountain

     We welcomed Rev. Fred LaFountain to our membership on Monday night. Fred is the Pastor of the Church at Westerly and came to us with a strong recommendation from Clark Rumfelt.

     Fred grew up locally and went on to UCONN and then on to Lancaster Bible College. He is married to Maggie and they have two children.  They live in Westerly and Fred is very excited to be joining us as part of his commitment to serve the community.

     President Doug reminded us of his challenge to think of the people in our networks who are difference makers, people like Fred, and to invite them to consider joining us in Rotary. We only have one more meeting this year (Dec 15) but there is no better way to start the new year in Rotary than to bring a guest to a meeting.  Maybe we need to adopt a new Westerly Rotary Club greeting—”Who are you bringing to the meeting next week?”
