This year marks 30 years of Women in Rotary and the District Conference in May will commemorate this event.
Joan Mary
Westerly Rotary's first Women in Rotary joined in June of 1989 - Joan McCormick and Mary Krupinski - and they were followed by Rona Mann in October of 1989. Joan and Mary are no longer members but we are delighted to still have Rona with us. Mary served as Treasurer for many years.
Another member of our Club (Kathryn Taylor, 2000), became the second woman to join the Rotary Club of Littleton, New Hampshire in January of 1989.
