September Student - Makenzie Gabriele
Makenzie is a Senior who has had a full and very busy high school career - Student Mentor at Dunns Corners Elementary School, Vice President of WHS Student Council, Social Media Manager of WHS Character Education, , President of National Honor Society, RI Honor Society, Liaison of WHS International Club and more.  Her volunteer experience includes WHS Marching Band, Freshman mentoring, RI Voter registration drive.  Makenzie hopes to attend Wake Forest University.
 
October Student - Aaliyah Terras
Aaliyah is a Senior - member of National Honor Society, National French Honor Society, member of South New England Honor Band on bass clarinet 2023 & 2024, member of SMILE Club (URI backed STEM Club.  She plays three instruments with WHS Concert Band, Marching Band and Jazz Band and also sings with WHS's Chorus.  Her volunteering includes mentoring an elementary school student weekly and incoming freshmen and parents, running concession stand at school theatre shows, assisting at community bazaar.
 
November Student - Easton French
Easton is new to Westerly High School - coming from East Greenwich.  He hopes to attend Villanova with major in Sports Management.
 
December Student - Maurice Dunn
Maurice is hoping for Rhode Island College or Johnson & Wales to study Sports Marketing and Entertainment.
 
January Student - Sara Arnold
Sara has won many awards including 3 Italian language awards.  She participated in softball, volleyball, Varsity Athletics Against Substance Abuse, Film Club, Art Club, National Honor Society.  Sara served as a Dunns Corners Elementary School mentor, assisted at the Softball and Volleyball Clinics, assisted at the International dinner for foreign languages and represented the high school at School Committee meetings.  She hopes to attend the University of Rhode Island with a major in Biology with intention to go on to medical school.
 
February Student - Matthew Horton
Matt is a member of the National Honor Society, earned Academic Letter in Sports, made first team in Butterfly, is Lacrosse assistant coach, member of boys/Girls Swim Team.  He volunteers at Westerly Hospital, Fire Department, Ocean Community Y and Lifeguard.  Matt is not yet sure where he will go to college but his focus will be Neuroscience.
