Wakefield Rotarian Beth Leconte is also the Executive Director of Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Rhode Island.  "OLLI is a member-based organization open to people 50+ years or age.  If you have a curious mind and a keen interest in learning, come join us" says the brochure.  This program is in its eleventh year with over 1400 members with courses from learning conversational Italian to Natural Stress Relief.  There are Travel programs, Special Interest Groups (biking, foreign policy discussion).  Classrooms and OLLI office are at 210 Flagg Road and parking is available at Lot#21 outside the building.  Membership registration is available online, via mail or in person.  The first OLLI program began in Maine by Bernard Osher.  The URI program just recently celebrate their tenth anniversary.  To read more information about this exciting program go to https://web.uri.edu/olli/  or contact Beth at bleconte@uri.edu or 401.874.2405.
