We were very fortunate to have Chris visit the Club Monday, 16 Sep. It was an enlightening and educational evening for members in attendance. In-Sight's mission is "to inspire confidence and build skills that help people who are visually impaired and blind to thrive and succeed." The organization was founded in 1925 as the Rhode Island Association for the Blind. Its Board members include people "living with vision loss as well as professional and corporate leaders and they oversee the Executive Director who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the agency. In-Sight currently serves more than 1,000 Rhode Islanders from toddlers to elderly adults who live with limited to no vision." Chris said that In-Sight offers services and tools to help those with visual impairment from group workshops to therapists. Independent living skills training is donor-funded and offered at no cost.
