Project One - painting, stripping, cleaning, polishing at The Frank Olean Center. Rotarians Janet, Lee Steve Bob Lane, Alan, Jeff, Andy and Derin worked today to do some much needed sprucing up.
Project 2 - Annual Bikes for Kids event at Valenti Subaru on Langworthy Road in Westerly. This event is held each year under Barnum Financial Group, lead by Dawn Robinson. Students from low income families are selected by their elementary school staff based on their hard work in school and their willingness to help each other and be kind to each other. So, they are welcomed to come and have lunch, play some games, visit with Firemen and Police Officers with the final gift of receiving a brand new bike complete with helmet. Helping out at this event were Angie, Rona and Rose. The faces of these children when they see the bikes and know that one of them is going to be theirs is just priceless!!!!
