Principal Hobin introduced the membership to Maxwell Palmer as another outstanding Westerly High School student. He has become a successful percussionist, winning various awards and honors. He has also been on the WHS Honor Roll, was Student Council Treasurer, member of FBLA WHS Chapter. He is a member of WHS Marching Band, WHS Symphonic Band, WHS Jazz Band, WHS Chorus and WHS Musical Theatre. This past summer he joined the United Theatre Youth Jazz Combo. Max also is a member of the 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, All-Eastern Mixed Chorus, All-State Mixed Chorus and the Chorus of Westerly. He has been assisting the Middle School Band Director and said that he is enjoying working with those students and seeing their improvement. His enthusiasm was infectious!! We know that he will be a success and look forward to hearing more from him in his college journey.
