Had to share this little story.  Pepsi and Spot found this little one in my garden today.  Did you know that we have a wonderful organization called Wildlife Rehabilitators Association of Rhode Island?  After a call to them and getting instructions to try and pick it up, put it in a box and get it to them, I called back to confirm that I had it safely in a box and received a contact who met me in Ashaway to collect the little one.  The organization is located in Saunderstown.  I learned that Opossum moms are not very good moms.  The little ones hang onto Mom as she roams around.  If one falls off, well it is just tough luck - it is on its own!!  Elisha promised to let me know how the little one progresses.
