From DG Charlene Jarest's recent newsletter: To no one's surprise, District 7950 rose to eh Challenge, identified who would best benefit from this wonderfully generous gift (from the Rossi Family Foundation and District 7890) and deployed our resources to make it happen! Due to interstate travel restrictions, two separate public image events marked the acceptance of this wonderful gift of 120,000 high quality surgical masks for distribution to first responders, nursing homes, fire and police, amount others.
Julie Lord attended the Providence event and brought back 4,000 masks to distribute here in Westerly. The first of the masks were delivered on October 13 by President Rona and Secretary Julie to Westerly School Superintendent Mark Garceau at Dunn's Corners Elementary School.
