Ten of us attended meeting Monday evening - last meeting of this fiscal year.  The next time we meet Rona Mann will assume the Presidency and, hopefully, we will be meeting live on July 13 with guest speaker, Lt Gov Dan McKee.  Reminder - no meeting next Monday - July 4th weekend holiday.

We send Anniversary blessings to Marty and Bob Boughner, who will be celebrating 67 years together on July 3rd, and to Donna and Frank Celico, who will be celebrating 56 years together on July 4th.  Doug Rayner celebrates 49 years as a Rotarian on July 1st.  Birthday greetings to Julie Lord on July 1st.

Update on the Essential Worker sign project - 29 signs have been installed.  Photos are in the Photo Album section of our website "Essential Workers".   Thank you to Bob and Suzanne for all their work on this project.  The signs have been happily welcomed.

Golf Tournament news - 34 players have been registered.

Rotary Moment
As of this morning 15 members have contributed to Every Rotarian Every Year - Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund.  It is every Club's goal to have full participation in this program, which sends funds back to the District and used for local grant projects.  Unfortunately, our Club did not achieve full participation this year.  Maybe next year...

A note from Rotary International's End Polio Now campaign.  "In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's more important than ever to recognize the power of vaccines and immunizations, which save millions of lives each year.  The Canadian government has announced a four-year financial commitment to support the endgame strategy of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI).  Rotary clubs throughout Canada welcomed the new pledge as a continuation of the country's leadership and partnership to support polio eradication.  Canadian Rotary clubs have worked closely with the Canadian government since 1986, when the country became a donor in the fight to end polio.  Since then, Canadian Rotarians have contributed more than US$41.3 million to Polio Plus.  With decades of experience stopping polio outbreaks, Rotary and our partners have a critical role to play in protecting communities from the COVID-19 pandemic, just as we did with Ebola, yellow fever, and avian flu.  From Pakistan to Nigeria, the Global Polio Eradication Initiative is supporting governments in their COVID-19 response efforts.  This truly represents the 'plus' in PolioPlus."

Enjoy the holiday weekend coming up - stay safe and stay well.
