Joseph Nigrelli and Dave Mann enjoyed a day in Washington DC and were honored as WWII veterans. The trip was sponsored by the Rhode Island Fire Chiefs. We are so proud of our Rotarians.

Westerly Rotarian and long time businessman, Joe Nigrelli, is still enjoying life. Last week he was honored by the Rhode Island Fire Chiefs and was sent on a trip to our nation’s capitol to visit the World War II memorial. He was joined by a long time friend of our club, Dave Mann. The World War II veterans and heir entourage arrived and were greeted by Rhode Island Senator, Jack Reed, as well as another World War II veteran, former Senator Bob Dole.
Upon their return to Rhode Island they were greeted and saluted by firefighters from Westerly and across the state.
We are hoping Joe will take some time at an upcoming meeting to tell us all about it. This is a wonderful way to say thank you to some of our nation’s biggest heroes.
