Hurricane Sandy and Misquamicut Relief

Spearheaded by the Westerly/Pawcatuck Chamber of Commerce, Serve RI and the Misquamicut Business Association, hundreds of volunteers have been helping in the cleanup efforts.  The Town mobilized all its vehicles to move the massive amounts of beach sand that rolled over onto Atlantic Avenue.  While the damage in our area is not as severe as that affecting the New Jersey and New York coastal areas, we must do all we can to help our local businesses and families remove the damage so restoration can begin as soon as possible.  Our Club's Board voted yesterday to provide funds to the Chamber for volunteer meals this weekend.
