Bruce Morrow visited our dinner meeting Monday evening to speak to the membership about the Chamber's Capital Campaign to "retire the mortgage". Because the building is in need of major repairs, the Board has determined that eliminating the annual mortgage payments "would place the Chamber in a better position to address these ongoing maintenance issues".
One event coming up to help with this goal is the May 5th (2:00pm) Zip Line Fundraiser which will take place at Foxwoods - from the 32nd floor roof of Fox Tower down to the Museum - 3800 feet at 60mph. Each Zipliner will raise $1,000 - some of Westerly's famous Zipliners are Bruce and Jean Morrow, Ed Smith, Lisa Konicki, Barbara Stillman, Paul Gencarella, Jr, Jeff and Beth Frenette and our very own Chris DiPaola.
