President Jeff with September Student of the Month Luke Gwaltney and Principal Moulin. Luke is a Senior at Westerly High School, a member of the National Honor Society, National Italian Honor Society. His awards include AP Scholar with Honor, Xerox Innovation & Information Technology Award, High Honors with Distinction all academic terms to current, Baseball Varsity Letter & All Academic Team 2024 through 2026. He plays saxophone with The Knickbocker House Band on open mic jazz nights and recorded a jazz album "Jazz on a School Night" for the United Theatre. He is involved with WHS's Math Team, Film Club, VAASA, Chem Team. And still finds time to volunteer at St Andrew Lutheran Church, United Theater Music School and VAASA (Varsity Students Against Substance Abuse). Luke has not made a college choice yet but his first choice is Northeastern.
October Student of the Month Bella Weber with President Jeff and Principal Moulin. Bella is also a Senior and has been focused on Culinary studies. She competed in the SkillsUSA Restaurant Service Competitions. Her certifications include OSHA 10 and Servesafe Allergen. Her work experience includes various duties at Honey Dew and Vetrano's. Bella has worked on the Food Insecurity Program which resulted in three refrigerators across our town to make free food available. She is also involved with a program to create food pantries through our schools to provide weekend meals for students. Bella hopes to attend Johnson & Wales University.
